DJP Update 3-16-2006 - AMA-Tulane Katrina-Rita Hurricane Survey

If you practiced medicine in the FEMA designated Gulf Coast disaster affected areas ( Includes Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi,
and Texas - see FEMA site: http://www.fema.gov/news/disasters.fema? year=2005 ) for the Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, please complete the
AMA-Tulane survey.

The goal is gain an understanding of current practice conditions and help physicians prepare for potential disaster events.

Some of you in the disaster areas may not have gotten the notification because of email address changes etc., and the goal of this email is to notify the 1650 folks on my DJP update list.  Please share this survey info with others in the designated disaster areas.

Please go to:

  http://www.surveysolutions.com/ama/hurricane06.htm

to obtain your passcode and complete the survey.

I just completed the survey online and it took less than 15 minutes.

Please spend the time and invest in better preparation for the next disaster.

If you have any problems locating the survey, please contact Mindy Schniederman at AMA: 312-464-5912.

Thanks!

Lagniappe:
Sorry I missed seeing those of you who attended the NAC in Washington this week.  I wanted to go but the Tulane University Health Sciences Center Board Meeting was this week and as a member of that board I had to attend.
Look forwarding to seeing everyone soon and trading stories of a very eventful past 7 months!
